What We Do
Founded in August 2024, Help 1 Person Today is here for your child and family through virtual and in-person mentorship, family support, and uplifting events. With the help of many, we strive to show up, listen, and build lasting bonds with children that need it the most.
The Research Behind Our Mission
Each year in the United States, approximately 15,000 children are diagnosed with cancer. While medical treatment focuses on survival, the emotional impact on children and families does not end.
Research shows that children facing serious illness are at higher risk for anxiety, depression, and social isolation. Parents and siblings often experience significant stress as well. Yet many existing programs focus primarily on medical care or short-term support, leaving a gap in sustained, relationship-based connection.
Studies consistently demonstrate that strong, consistent mentorship and social support improve resilience, emotional well-being, and long-term coping outcomes for children facing adversity. Meaningful relationships help reduce feelings of isolation and increase hope during difficult seasons.
We are committed to filling that gap.
